What beautiful, sustainable projects for everyone exist in the Algarve? What New European Bauhaus ideas and initiatives exist in other European countries and can be implemented in the Algarve? How can Algarve entities cooperate and co-create with the aim of actively participating in this big European movement?
These were the questions that guided the "Session of Co-Design of future projects under the New European Bauhaus movement", which took place on 21 July at the Museu do Traje, in S. Brás de Alportel, with the aim of contributing to the gathering of ideas for future projects and new unions that are fundamental to the development of the Algarve in this international challenge. The sharing session allowed us to explore new links and synergies between professionals and projects developed and desired for the Algarve region, crossing the areas of sustainability, accessibility, technology, art and culture. The session was specially designed to achieve the proposed objectives and included several moments of participation, brainstorming and co-design of new projects. Revitalisation of the urban space and the rooftops, new models of artistic residences, social-based entrepreneurship, renewal and (re)adaptation of traditional knowledge, food education and sustainable consumption habits were some of the topics discussed.
