“Faro 2027,

now what?”

We listen, compile and systematize information:

From an extensive process of public consultation and engagement, that included many street conversations, interviews, focus groups and a number of other formats we get several we raised contributions and problems. All these information was compiled and systematizes, giving us the thematic guidelines for the candidancy.
We establish a dialogue with national and international experts:
For several months we maintained an intense and fruitful dialogue with national and international experts. In an initial phase, the objective of these conversations was to test the thematic lines of the candidacy, through an external vision. We also wanted to know what these experts thought about the role that a territory like the Algarve can play in Europe.
Subsequently, a written reflection took place. A similar vision was requested but from an inside-out perspective.

Several article were produced
and a book was born:

After many hours of conversations that generated countless reflections, several articles were written. This reflections were fundamental to focus the themes worked on in the candidacy. Subjects such as interculturality; climate change; social and cultural issues around tourism and even hidden poverty in the region; or even matters related to the construction of a city in a mass tourism destination, are some of the issues addressed.
