About the projectBiophilic design is an innovative way of harnessing the affinity between Man and Nature to create natural environments where people can live, work and learn, i.e. nature-based solutions are used to mitigate the impacts of climate change, inserting nature into urban space to improve the well-being of communities. A new paradigm of urban development in contact and collaboration with nature and not against nature. |
New European Bauhaus Framework
The BIODES project aims to demonstrate opportunities to naturalize cities and use Nature Based Solutions to address crises and develop more resilient cities. The idea is to create more sustainable cities with well-being and environmental justice for all. Aesthetics can be the decisive factor in promoting nature-based solutions in urban space as an alternative of civil engineering solutions. Inclusion and participation gives the feeling of pretence. Art and creativity can help in the implementation and acceptance of nature-based projects.
